Lyle Ely Hill, age 75 of Rice Lake, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 in his sleep, at Pioneer Nursing Home in Prairie Farm.

Lyle was the son of Myron, Sr. and Grace (Gardner) Hill, he was raised by Clifford & Aurilla Hare in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin.   He married Beverly Pickard on November 22, 1969.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring old cars, and watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies.  He worked at various places but spent 31 years at Doboy Packaging and Machine in New Richmond.  He retired in 2009. 

Lyle is survived by his wife, Beverly of Rice Lake; Daughters, Holly Hill of Rice Lake, Lonna (Adam) Sigsworth of Clear Lake, Kara (Dustin) Chilson of Turtle Lake; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; brothers Jack (Shirley) Hill of Wheeler, Daniel (Carol) Hill of Ettrick, Chuck (Beth) Hill of Viroqua; sisters Lucille Bundy of South Dakota and Dorothy Hill of LaCrosse.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Michael Hill and Timothy Harer, brother, Evan Hill, Sr.; sisters Eldora, Christina and Joyce.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel in Barron.  Burial will be in the spring at New Haven Cemetery.
