Lorna Lorraine (Ferrian) Erickson passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Traditions Assisted Living facility in Frederic, WI.

Lorna was born on December 9, 1927 to Wilhelmina and Peter Ferrian.

Before marriage she worked at the Lowell Inn, Stillwater, MN. She and Ellis E. Erickson married in 1948 and to this union a girl, Jeanne, and a boy, Michael, were born.

Lorna enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and spending time at a casino. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She planted gardens and worked on the family farm. She spent many hours knitting and crocheting afghans, doilies, tablecloths and curtains for her home, family and friends. They traveled to Hawaii, Arkansas, Las Vegas, South Dakota and Branson, Missouri. They were married 67 years before Ellis’s death in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Marlin; sister-in-law, Doris; sister, Glorianne; and brother-in-law, Jay B. DesJardins.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne DesJardins (Dale) and Michael (Diana) Erickson; five grandchildren, Lesa Locken (Mark), Tracie DesJardins (Alan Hanson), Brooke Mott (David), Selena Frenette (Jason), and Hilary Ridgeway (Jacob); six great-grandchildren, Tanner Locken, Kamryn and Logan Mott, Madison Frenette, Hailey and Carter Ridgeway.  She also had four step-grandchildren, Mollie and Cole Hanson, Sara Cox and Brittany Locken. She is also survived by sisters, Geraldine Mangelsen (Andy) and Virginia DesJardins; half-brothers, Alvin (Carol) and Donald (LeAnn) Ferrian.

Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23rd with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Frederic with lunch and burial to follow. Masks are required during service.
