LoriAnn Elam passed away suddenly, however peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, December 18th at the age of 62.

Lori was born in Iowa on October 26th, 1961, and moved to the Cameron/Chetek area where she graduated high school.

She resided in Barron most of her adult life. She worked at Parker in Chetek for the last 23 years. She enjoyed taking scenic road trips with her husband, John and four wheeling with family and friends. She loved spending time with her family. Lori will be missed by so many as she was truly a friend to all who met her.

Lori is survived by her husband, John Elam; daughter, Heide (Josh) Bowen; step-son, Jeremiah Elam, step-daughter, Veronica Jo (Tony) McCracken; six grandchildren, Beth, John, Sam, Jasper, Lexie, and William; brother, Stewart (Marlys) Boysen; sisters, Barb (Paul) Knittle, Marge Lange, and Sandy (Byron) Everman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Niels and Elfriede Boysen and by her son, Christopher Thompson.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring of 2024.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
