Lois Marie Weber passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on December 31, 2022.

Lois was born on February 20, 1936 to Lloyd and Myra Evenson in River Falls, WI.

As the oldest child, she spent her time helping with cooking and household chores. Lois graduated from Roberts High School. Following graduation, she worked as a telephone operator in New Richmond.

Lois married Pat Balk and they operated a dairy farm in Downsville, WI for many years. After retiring from farming, they opened and operated a hardware store and a bar/restaurant in Elmwood, WI until their marriage ended in 1986. Lois married Lawrence Weber on July 15, 1988. They made their home in Elmwood until his death in 2002. At that time, Lois moved to Cumberland, WI.

Lois enjoyed fishing and playing cards. She also went on several trips with her family and friends. Lois’ sister, Marlys, and brother-in-law, Vernon, came to live with her in Cumberland in 2004. Lois and her family were lovingly cared for and supported by Marshfield Rice Lake Hospice.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Myra Evenson; husband, Lawrence Weber; sister-in law, Jean Evenson; brothers-in-law, Vernon Orf and LeRoy Hopkins; nephew, Rodney Evenson and great-niece, Kayla Evenson.

Lois is survived by her sisters, Marlys Orf and Susanne Hopkins; brothers, Vernon Evenson and Dale (Carol) Evenson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland, WI. Visitation one hour prior. Luncheon to follow the service.

Private interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake Home Health & Hospice.
