In Memory of Lloyd Jacobson
Lloyd Jacobson, 91, of Cumberland died, August 3, 2021, at Care and Rehab-Cumberland.
He was born December 25, 1929, in Winter, WI to Julius and Lillian (Barnaby) Jacobson.
Lloyd served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was married in Comstock, WI on December 27, 1953, to Marguerite Rusch who preceded him in death on February 4, 2011. They shared many fond years together.
Lloyd was an active member of the Cumberland American Legion Post #98, and Saint Paul Lutheran Church. He retired from 3M after many years. Lloyd took pride in his hobby, a licensed game farm. He also enjoyed watching and taking care of the various animals that would come visit him. Over the years, he donated many gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. He was always quick with a smile and joke; both will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his three daughters: Brenda (Dale) Stoll of Ladysmith, Mary (Paul) Luecke of Blaine, MN, and Ann (Jon) Doolittle of Cumberland; son, Thomas Jacobson of Crosby, MN; six granddaughters: Bethany, Amanda, Katelyn, Taylor, Jocelyn and Lauren; great granddaughter, Grace; two brothers: Donald (Sue) Jacobson of Cumberland and John (Joanne) Jacobson of Cumberland; sister, Wynn Yusas of Madison; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite; sister, Judy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 7, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cumberland, WI with Rev. John Miels officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Cemetery, McKinley, WI. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Stoll, Paul Luecke, Jon Doolittle. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Military honors by the Cumberland American Legion Post 98 immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial be given the Saint Paul Lutheran Church or to a preferred memorial.
