Allen Dale Tangwall Age 80, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Marshfield, WI.

He was born on February 21, 1943 in Rice Lake to Dewey and Alys (Allar) Tangwall.

Allen graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1961 and received his teaching degree from Barron County Teachers College in 1965. He was married to Rosemary Uchytil on June 26, 1965 in Rice Lake. Allen taught Elementary School for 3 years, owned Tangwall Excavation company for 10 years and was the Parts Manager for Kohel Implement for 29 years. He enjoyed bowling, dart ball, basketball, golfing and baseball, and played slow pitch softball for PeeWee’s V&M Bar for many years. Allen was an avid birdwatcher in his retirement and enjoyed taking care of his birds and squirrels in the backyard.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Tangwall; 4 children, Steve (Kim) Tangwall, Tina (Mark) Buchli, Elizabeth (Oz) Eckardt and Ginene (Kristopher) Schultz; 9 grandchildren; a brother, Dewey (Sandy) Tangwall; a sister, Dawn Koepp; 3 brothers-in-law, Carlyle Button, John (Ellen) Uchytil and Ron Uchytil (Julie Huck); 3 sisters-in-law, Rita (Glenn) Kringle, Regina (Bob) Mayer and Karen (Joe) Weimert; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Tangwall; his parents, Dewey Tangwall and Alys Tangwall-Wendlandt; a sister, Diane Button; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bohumil and Beatrice Uchytil.

A celebration of his life will be held from 1-4PM Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI.
