In Memory of Linda S. Hill
Linda Sue Hill, age 67, of Stone Lake WI, passed away peacefully with her beloved son and best friend by her side on Friday, June 27, 2025, at her home.
Linda was born in Carrolton, IL to parents Arthur and Christine Churchill. She attended school in Roodhouse, IL. She grew up and was raised with her three brothers and two sisters in a trailer on a farm in Roodhouse, IL where she lived until she got a job at Techtonics making phones. She then got her own apartment in Jacksonville, IL where she met her husband Wayne Hill and was married for 21 years. During that time, they raised two children. She lived in Jacksonville, IL most of her life until later in her life, her and her son moved to Stone Lake, as she loved the small-town life and wanted a better life for them.
Linda loved many things in life, some of those being how she loved every aspect of gardening and flowers, especially sunflowers. She loved being around animals and she dearly loved her cat Nala. She loved fishing, walking on trails, and nature. She loved listening to country and rock music and watching movies. She also loved going to yard sales, thrift stores, and going to church. But above all else, she loved being with her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them, with her two children being her greatest treasure in life.
She is survived by her two children, Jeremy Hill, of Stone Lake WI, and Tracy (Joseph) Paul, of Jacksonville IL, siblings Jerry Churchill, Judy Coply, and Arthur Allen Churchill; many nieces and nephews; and one granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by husband Wayne Hill; parents; and siblings Sandra Voyles, and Robert Churchill.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 1 pm with the visitation starting at 12 pm at the Stone Lake Lutheran Church.
