Linda Kay Curtis, 58, of Chetek, WI, passed on peacefully in her home surrounded by family on February 20, 2023.

Linda was born to Lawrence and Evelyn Toufar on May 26, 1964. She was raised in Chetek with her sister Shelley and brothers Randy and Rick. Her childhood was filled with memorable family gatherings with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Linda married her childhood sweetheart Jerry Curtis on February 20, 1981. They had 2 children, Jeremiah and Amanda, a short while after. Together Linda and Jerry enjoyed attending their children’s many school and church activities. Later, Linda was blessed with four grandchildren–Alyx, Izzi, Teddy, and Carter–who brought joy and light to her life.

Linda enjoyed adding to her bell collection, flower gardening, and playing with her grandchildren. Her life work was serving others, and she found her calling as a caregiver.

Linda was survived by the love of her life Jerry; their 2 children, Jeremiah (Paige) Curtis and Amanda (Lucas) Amundson; grandchildren Alyx Burri, Izzi Amundson, Teddy Amundson, and Carter Curtis; Sister Shelley Elledge; brothers Rick (Judy) Toufar and Randy Toufar; in-laws Steven (Elise), Terri (Joe), and Wayne. She had a lot of love for her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, unlcles, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Evelyn, Jerry’s parents Russell and Millicent, and sister-in-law Cheryl.

Linda had a big heart, and she was grateful for all her family and friends in her life. They were all blessed to have her in their lives and she will be greatly missed.
