In Memory of Linda Dreyer
Linda Rose "L. Dee" Dreyer, 70, of Cumberland died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home. She was born February 23, 1949 in Barron, WI to Anthony and Rose (Stauner) Klingelhoets, was raised in Barron and graduated from Barron High School in 1967. She was married in Barron on September 3, 1966 to Richard Dreyer. While raising her family, Linda babysat for many neighborhood children, spent some summers at Stokely Foods and later worked at James Pharmacy, Smokey's Pit Stop, and Farr Agency. Linda enjoyed puzzles, writing (she was an often published writer), reading, scrapbooking, needlepoint, quilting, following "Days of Our Lives", Neil Diamond's music, collecting owls, garage sales and caring for her cats.
She is survived by her children: James (Heidi) Dreyer of Cumberland, Debbie Calkins (Mark Loehlein) of Rice Lake, and Tracey Dreyer of Rice Lake; 6 grandchildren, Jamie, Kelly, Jackson, Darion, Karissa and Taylor Rai; great grandchildren: Chesney and Ethan; special friend, David Gardner of Cumberland; siblings: Rita Forsyth of Denver, CO, Steve Klingelhoets of Barron, Joseph (Pat) Klingelhoets of Mikana, Allen Klingelhoets of Barron, and Arla (Darrin) Falk of Menomonie; her canine companion, Festus; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Rick; parents; brothers: Thomas and Andrew Klingelhoets.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
