In Memory of Linda Brooten
Linda Marie Brooten Age 65, of Rice Lake, WI died Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home.
She was born on June 17, 1954 in Arcadia, Wisconsin to Edward and Laura (Bortle) Tiepelman. Linda graduated from the Blair-Taylor High School in 1972 and moved and lived in San Diego, California and moved back to the Rice Lake area and was married to Roger Brooten on September 30, 1988 in Chetek, WI. Linda worked for Wright Products, Jeromes and then her and her husband owned and operated Don the Muffler Man in Rice Lake and in Eau Claire. The name was later changed to Dons Auto and Tire in Eau Claire where Linda was the bookkeeper. Linda was a pure delight to see and loved being a mama bear because this is what she was most proud of. She loved her dog, Lena; baking, fishing, camping and anything around the Christmas season. Every weekend she played cribbage with her husband, she enjoyed traveling and going somewhere warm, like Arizona and Mexico. Linda loved being at home and enjoying her house.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Brooten of Rice Lake; 2 children, Ryan Brooten of Rice Lake and Laura Brooten of Haugen, WI; a sister, Vickie (Ardell) Knutson of Blair, WI; 3 brothers, Gary (Victoria) Tiepelman of Scottsdale, AZ, Larry Tiepelman of Madison and Scott (Melissa) Tiepelman of Blair, WI; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Laura Tiepelman;
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Scott Burns officiating, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Friday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church.
