LeVone M. Swenson “Snooks”, age 87, of Barron, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Cumberland Care and Rehab.

LeVone Marie (Suhrbier) Swenson was born to the parents of Edythe and Glen Suhrbier on June 2, 1936 in Hancock, Minnesota. She spent her younger years in Hancock, Detroit, MI, Brenenton, WA and St. Paul, MN. She entered school in Hancock in the fifth grade and graduated from there in 1954.

She married Roger Swenson on June 11, 1955, at Our Freedom Lutheran Church. They lived in Hancock until 1968 when they moved to Barron and purchased the Barron Supper Club.

To that union Patricia was born in 1958 and Carter was born in 1964. They owned and operated the Supper Club for 17 years but kept the catering business until 2018.

She worked at the Barron Co Sheriffs Food Service for 13 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat (Lee) Stokes of Barron; daughter-in-law, Lisa Swenson of Farmington, MN; grandchildren, Dr. Kaine (Lisa) Stokes, Ashlee (Jared) Lystig, Brianna (Anthony) Jazwiecki, Matthew (Madison Morris) Swenson and Miranda (Jake Staggs) Swenson; great-grandchildren, Parker, Nolan, PaisLee, Annika and Porter; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger (1994) and son, Carter (2022).

A memorial service for LeVone will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Barron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
