Lawrence “Larry” L. Barker, 80, of Cumberland, WI formerly of Eagan, MN died peacefully on March 3, 2023.

He was born May 22, 1942, in Woodstock, IL.

Larry loved the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) where he worked for many summers in his youth and later enjoyed exploring it with friends and family especially his son and nephews. He truly enjoyed the family lake home and loved pontoon rides, fishing and taking his son, friends, and family water skiing around the lake. He also enjoyed golfing, military history and photography.

Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine (Norton) Barker; son, Jeffrey Barker; sisters: Catherine Wilson and Phyllis Lokken; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long time friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Almena with Father Tom Thompson officiating. Visitation will be for one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Vincent De Paul.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
