Laura “Laurie” Lee Bowton Age 60, of Rice Lake, WI died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Heritage Lakeside in Rice Lake.

She was born on July 20, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN to William and Leola (Anderson). Laurie graduated from the University of MN with a degree in Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Psychology. She was a caregiver at Brentwood and New Beginnings in Rice Lake. She enjoyed looking at facebook, reading, listening to music, helping out a women’s shelters and would help out others in their time of trial.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine Henry (Nick Reiter) of Rice Lake; a granddaughter, Kaitlyne Cook of Fridley, MN; her mother, Lee Bowton of Milaca, MN; a sister, Barbara Teigen of MN; a brother, Robert Bowton of MN; best friend, Jackie Lere of Fridley, MN; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Bowton and step father, Donald Melberg.

Private family services will be held. Appleyard’s Home for Funeral in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
