Larry Eugene Alt, 71, of Shell Lake passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Croix Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 20, 1951 in St. Paul, MN to Harold and Leatrice (Melquist) Alt.

Larry was a 1969 graduate of Kellogg High School. He was a life-long entrepreneur who worked the majority of his career in the bar and restaurant industry. He was a fan of all things Minnesota sports. From the University of Minnesota Gophers to the Twins, the Vikings, Timberwolves, and Wild, he was there cheering for them all. In his free time Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the golf course or in the tavern shooting a game of billiards. In recent years he brought many smiles to peoples faces while working at Economart where he always said "Give it a good home!"

He is survived by daughters, Christi Alt (Nicholas Haessly), Lindsay (Jacob) Pederson and Laura Alt (Levi Fletcher); grandchildren, Grace Harris, Kayla Pederson, Korah Alt and Kenley Pederson; sister, Linda Kittler. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Michael Alt Sr.; and brother-in-law, Patrick Kittler.

Visitation will be from 3 - 5 PM on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home, Shell Lake.
