Lanny Harold Foss Age 76, of Rice Lake, WI, died peacefully Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at his home.

He was born on July 1, 1948 in Rice Lake to Floyd and Lilian (Bergeson) Foss. Lanny graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1966. He entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Era and was Honorably Discharged after receiving 2 Purple Hearts. Lanny worked for Johnson Truck Bodies and Island City Picture Frame. He loved his cats, Peanut and Bama; enjoyed collecting antiques and watching the Green Bay Packers. Lanny dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Lori Foss and Sara Foss; 5 grandchildren, Samantha (Michael), Tabitha, Zachariah, Tyler and Andrew; 4 great grandchildren, Blanche, Remington, Blake and Henry; a brother, Louie (Sharon) Foss; 2 sisters, Sharon Pickering and Ardys Bauer; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lilian Foss; and a brother, Larry (Bonnie) Foss.

A celebration of his life will be held from 11AM-1PM Monday, November 4, 2024 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with Full Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at 2PM Monday.
