In Memory of Kyle B. O'Shogay


November 7, 1988 - February 21, 2024

Kyle Bradley O’Shogay, age 35, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Kyle was born November 7, 1988, in Milwuakee, WI the son of Richard “Steve” O’Shogay and Jacqueline Weaver. He grew up in Lac du Flambeau and graduated from Minocqua High School in 2009. Kyle was very passionate and dedicated to his family, he loved spending time with his children playing outside. He could be found working construction or cooking at the river deck. But his favorite job by far was working bingo at the Sevenwinds Casino, where he met his significant other & mother of his three boys, Tonya Victor. Kyle spent his pastime trying different authentic foods from all kinds of cultures, detailing cars. Kyle loved and followed the NFL Denver Broncos and was a top-notch video -gamer. Kyle's dream was to own his own detailing business.

He is survived by his children Kyleisha, Tyler, Augustus & Kyle Jr.; father Steve; fiancé Tonya; brother John Gruett; sister Courtney Gruett; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Kyle was preceded in death by his mother Jackie; grandmothers Donna Davis, Eleanor Weaver & Evelyn Sharlow.

Tribal Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center. Chato “Ombishkebines” Gonzalez will officiate. Burial will be in Historyland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.

Honorary casket bearers will be Rachael Barbano, Derek Barber, Ryan Cooper, Dean “Dino” Johnson, Eva Maiwald, Ogema Taylor & Tyrone Victor.

Casket Bearers will be Carl Bell, Alexavier Corbine, Aaron Dishaw, Joseph Gougé, Mario Grado & Wesley Tecumseh.
