Kimberly Ann Nispel Ekdahl Age 59, of Rice Lake, WI died Friday, May 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 21, 1960 in Rice Lake to Kenneth and Dorothy (Bouchard) Nispel. Kim graduated from the Siren High School in 1978 and was married to Gene Ekdahl on July 4, 1981 in Colorado Springs, CO. She worked as a bookkeeper for County Market and at Walmart as a cashier and in the garden center. Kim enjoyed to crochet, garden, to spend time with her grand babies, playing board games, painting, drawing and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Ekdahl of Rice Lake; 3 children, Gene Ekdahl II (Amy Hamilton) of Woodbury, MN, Kristen (Robert) Overturff of Glidden, WI and Tim (Breanna) Ekdahl of Cameron, WI; 7 grandchildren, Henry, Ben and Andy Overturff, Lindzie Bauer, Karley Ekdahl, Grady and Tristan Hamilton; 2 brothers, Kenny (Lori) Nispel of Rice Lake and Tim Nispel (Betty Anderson) of Cameron, WI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Nispel; 4 brothers, Michael, Gary, Rick and Pat Nispel.

Funeral Services will be held at 5PM Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 3-5PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals .
