In Memory of Kenneth Holdt

September 3, 1937 - May 4, 2020

Kenneth Arthur Holdt was born to Arthur and Oleeta Holdt on September 3rd, 1937, into a family that included his sister Norma and brother Arlen.  He grew up in Luck, Wisconsin and graduated from Luck High School in 1956.  He served in the Army for 2 years.  He married the love of his life, Wilma Anderson, on November 9th, 1963.  They settled in Luck where they raised their 2 sons, Jack and Brian.  Ken and Wilma owned the auto parts store in Luck for many years before they retired and their sons took over in 1997.  Ken was a member of the Luck Lions Club for 42 years and the Luck Fire Department for 25 years.  He also served on the Luck Village Board, the Luck Lutheran Church Council and he was a member of the Luck Snowmobile Club.

Ken will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, sharp wit and being straightforward; telling you what he thought and you better be ready.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing trips, hunting trips and deer hunting seasons at the cabin in the Barrens.  Ken and Wilma were able to travel many places over the years with close friends.  They enjoyed cruises and many cross country driving trips.  Ken was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all kinds of sports including the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Holdt and Oleeta Hermanson, step-father Robert Hermanson, daughter-in-law Amy Holdt, sister-in-law Vicki Holdt, brother-in-law Bud Fish, nephew Todd Anderson, father-in-law and mother-in-law Roy and Helen Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma, brother Arlen Holdt, sister Norma Fish, son Jack Holdt (Kim Lehman), son Brian (Marni) Holdt, in-laws Jerry and Marlys Anderson, Tom and Wanda Kane, grandchildren Kyle (Nicci) Holdt, Brett (Wendy) Holdt, Brandon Holdt (Jaimee Buck) and Jenni Holdt.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great- grandchildren.

He was love by all and will be greatly missed.  The family looks forward to sharing some good “Kenny” stories when a celebration of life is held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home
