Kay Marie Anderson, age 61, of Almena, Wisconsin, passed away on April 11, 2024 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake.

Kay was born on May 13, 1962 in Amery. Kay grew up on the farm, and she enjoyed milking the cows and other chores, and also helped her mom with the housekeeping. She attended school in Amery and graduated from Amery High School in 1981. After graduating, Kay worked at various jobs before she started working at Quanex in Rice Lake as an assembly line worker in 1998. She worked there until her retirement in October of 2023.

Kay loved lighthouses and collecting lighthouse figurines. Family was important to Kay, and she was always ready to help her friends or family in need. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nephews and nieces. Kay will be remembered for her kind heart.

Kay is survived by 4 brothers, Roger, Dennis (Iris), Ed (Sandy) and Arlie (Pam); 2 sisters, Diane (Brent) Frey and Mary (Wendell) Olson; 10 nephews and nieces; and 14 great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lena Anderson, and her brother, Lyle.

Kay’s family would like to thank the nurses at the Marshfield Medical Center for their care.

A visitation for Kay will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A burial will take place at Wagon Landing Cemetery in Amery.
