(October 18, 1919 - November 1, 2016)

Kathryn E. Lombard, age 97, of Minneapolis, MN and formerly of Spooner, WI passed away on Monday, November 1, 2016 at Jones-Harrison Residence in Minneapolis.

Kathryn Elizabeth was born October 18, 1919 in Spooner, WI the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Chisolm) Donatell. She was raised in Spooner and graduated from Spooner High School. On September 23, 1940 Kathryn was joined in marriage to Carl Anton Lombard. Carl served during World War II and then returned to Spooner where he and Kathryn owned and operated Club 70 for several years. In the early 1950’s Carl and Kathryn moved their family to the twin cities area where Kathryn went to work for Life Touch Portraits as a developer supervisor.   Kathryn worked for over twenty years for Life Touch before her retirement. Kathryn will be remembered as a fun loving, charming and warm person. She delighted in hosting family and friends for special occasions. She also enjoyed traveling and dancing.

Kathryn is survived by her two daughters, Carole (Willard) Harlow of Sedona, AZ, Susana (Martin Zanger) DiPalma of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Mary (Peter) Kurey, Angelo Lomardi and Bridget O’Flaherty; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; three brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held for Kathryn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Calvary Cemetery in Spooner with Father Bala Showry officiating.
