In Memory of Kathleen Loving


May 22, 1932 - June 28, 2019

Kathleen R. Loving, age 87, of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Waters Edge Care Center in Hayward.

Kathleen Rose was born May 22, 1932 in Rochester, MN the daughter of Ralph and Theresa (Powers) Towey.  She was raised and did her schooling in Rochester and then graduated from Lourdes Catholic High School.  In July of 1954, Katie was joined in marriage to John Jackson.  Together they moved to Edina, MN where they started a family and Katie was a homemaker.  John passed away in 1969 and Katie raised their four children.  Katie began work with Loving and Associates as a secretary.  While working she met Collier Loving who she married in 1981 in Phoenix, AZ.  Katie retired in 1982 and she and Collier made their residence in Arizona.  In the mid 1992 Katie and Collier moved to Hayward, WI where Katie was involved with volunteering with the Food Shelf and the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.  She was also a very active and longtime member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.  In Katie’s younger years she was an avid bowler and golfer.  Katie was a very loving person who was very proud of her Irish heritage. 

Katie is survived by her four children, Denise (Keith) Erickson of Elk River, MN, Mike (Mary Beth) Jackson of Haines City, FL, Diane (Dan) Dullum of Savage, MN, Debbie (Henry) Heiller of Eden Prairie, MN;  twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Jane Schnorf of Florissant, MO; three step children, Bryant Loving, Denny (Sheila) Loving, Gary (Teresa) Loving; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Jackson; second husband, Collier Loving; and one sister, Sharon King.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Katie at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward with Father David Neuschwander officiating.  A time of gathering with family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, at the Hayward Funeral Home and from noon until the time of the service at the church on Monday.  Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.
