In Memory of Karen L. Johnson
Karen L. Johnson, age 74, a resident of Siren passed away after a courageous battle of ovarian cancer on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Karen was born on June 17, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert W. and Kathleen M. Johnson. She was a graduate of Coon Rapids High School. She resided in Blaine and later East Bethel, MN before making the move to Siren.
She worked for the City of Minneapolis as a school bus driver and owned and operated Brutus Trucking Company. She had a passion and love for her horses and was a complete animal lover. While living in Blaine, she had a hobby farm, and she always had a Siamese Cat and Dog. Karen was always rescuing animals. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake and going to the casino, but mostly she enjoyed spending her time caring for and riding her horse, Dusty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kathleen.
She will be missed by her daughters, Bridgette (Kent) Votruba and Kari Olson; her grandchildren, Ethan Olson and Zakary Kling; siblings, Vikki (Paul) Fiskewold, Bonnie (Roger) Johnson and Michael Johnson; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. More information to follow.
