Julia “Julie” Frances Mattmiller Age 67, of Sarona, WI died Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Rice Lake, WI.

She was born on February 14, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Carrol (Schmid) LeFevour.

Julie graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1975 and then graduated from UW Barron County Campus with a degree in Accounting. She was a caregiver for many years for her stepfather, Loren and grandbabies, and had other various jobs in the community. She loved hunting, playing bingo, making stained glass and jewelry, and selling on Ebay. She lived for her grandchildren and loved being with them; they depended on her and the love that she gave them was unconditional. Julie was selfless, fearless and independent. She would do anything for anyone without any questions. She had the biggest heart and loved all.

She is survived by her daughter, Gena Mattmiller-Nelson (Tony Nelson); a son, Jed Mattmiller (Brooke Divan); 5 grandchildren, Molly, Shelby, Bradley, Noelle and Logan; siblings, Lee, Bobbie, Kim, Deb, Dave, Della, Denny and Doreen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert LeFevour and Carrol Hennekens; her stepfather, Loren Hennekens; siblings, Beth, Kevin and Doug.

A celebration of her life will be held from 4-7PM Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI. Memorials would be appreciated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
