Judy Ann Ricci, age 76, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2024.

Judy was born on June 13, 1947 in Cumberland, Wisconsin to Alice (Stoll) Ricci and William Ricci. She attended school in Cumberland and graduated from Cumberland High School in 1965. She then studied at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and graduated with a major in elementary education. Judy taught in New Richmond and Eagle River, Wisconsin before joining the teaching staff at Shell Lake. She taught first grade in Shell Lake for 29 years and volunteered there after retiring. She loved her students and was always pleased to hear about the successes of her former students.

Judy adopted her daughter, Allison Ricci, in 1983. They lived in Cumberland and attended First Lutheran Church until they moved to Shell Lake in 1999 and became active members of Salem Lutheran Church.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents. Judy is survived by her daughter, Allison Ricci, of Shell Lake, her cousin, Charlene Samlaska, in Cumberland and many other relatives and friends.

Judy loved children. She also enjoyed her pets, feeding and watching birds and squirrels in her yard, gardening, knitting and reading. She will be missed by many friends.

A funeral service for Judy Ricci will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in Shell Lake on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11 AM with Pastor Rodger Prois officiating. Visitation one hour prior at church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland.

Memorials are to be directed to the Washburn County Humane Society, or Salem Lutheran Church.
