Judith (Judy) Karen Nelson (Oliver), age 81, formerly of Superior and Trego, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 29th, 2022, at her residence in MN.

She was born November 2nd, 1941, in Superior, WI, the daughter of Frank and Faith Oliver.

She was united in marriage to Roger Nelson on February 9, 1963, in Superior.

Judy was born and raised in Superior and was a 1959 graduate of East High School. She lived in Superior until 2004 when she and Roger then moved to their retirement land in Trego, WI. She later moved to MN to be closer to her daughters. Judy was an avid Packer and Badger sports fan and could always be seen wearing those colors with pride, right down to the matching shoes. She had a great love of animals and was always on the hunt for a dog to pet. Her favorite past time was spending time with loved ones, and she took great pride in her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Shari (Jon) Larson of Ham Lake, MN and Nicole (Bill) Giesie of Oak Grove, MN; her sisters, Mary Jo Smith of Somerset, CA and Michele Johnson of Solon Springs, WI.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband Roger, her son Todd and sister Constance McCauley.

A funeral service will be held at Bratley-Nelson Spooner Funeral Home, 306 Rush Street, in Spooner on Friday, January 6th. Visitation to start at 10:00 am with services at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow at Round Man Brewing, 234 Walnut St., Spooner.

Judy will have her final resting place in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner with her husband Roger.
