In Memory of Judith E. Warburton
Judith (Judy) Warburton passed away September 28, 2024 at Hayward, WI.
Judy was born October 21, 1933 at Hayward, the daughter of Oscar and Wista (Eytcheson) Hanson.
Judy was raised in the Hayward area and graduated from Hayward High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Richard Warburton on June 14, 1952 at First Congregational Church at Hayward.
Judy worked in accounting for forty five years, including thirty eight years at Anderson, Hager & Moe, CPAs. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Hayward for over sixty years and its Ladies Aid. She also served on several church boards. She volunteered many years at the Hayward Hospital in various areas.
She enjoyed music and directed the choir at First Congregational for several years. She helped organize the Hayward Community Choir in 1989 and was a member for fifteen years. She loved to bake and gave away countless dozens of cookies. She was quoted as saying she was never happier than when she was baking. Judy also enjoyed camping in their RV and especially loved the mountains in the West. Judy was a great dog lover, miniature poodles were her favorite. She loved to sew and made many of her clothes.
Judy is survived by her son Scott (wife - Nicky McCarthy), North Bay, NY; two granddaughters, Marcy (Mick) O'Neill of St. Louis Park, MN and Melissa (Todd) Macey of Lake Placid, NY; one grandson, Ben (Christen) Warburton of Weehawken, NJ and four great grandchildren, Saoirse O'Neill; Alexandra Macey, and Dorothy Warburton and Clark Warburton; one niece Dianne (Bob) Marsh, two nephews; Gary (Kathleen) Nelson and Terry (Cheryl); Nelson; and several good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years, her parents, three sisters, Dorothy Morris, Helen Dunavin and Jeanne Nelson and one brother, Robert Pierce.
A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Hayward Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf officiating. A time of gathering will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
