In Memory of Judith A. Boone


August 27, 1943 - November 27, 2023

Judith Anne Boone, age 80, of Stone Lake, WI passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her home.

Judy was born August 27, 1943, in Bloomington, IN the daughter of Roscoe and Violet (Archer) Minton.

She was raised and attended school in Bloomington. While in high school, Judy’s family housed a member of a traveling quartet, John Boone, while he was in the area performing. After graduating high school Judy attended Greenville College in Illinois where she again crossed paths with John. Judy and John were joined in marriage on December 29, 1962, in Bloomington. Together they settled in Madison, WI for a few years before moving to Stone Lake, WI in 1965. Judy was a devoted wife and mother and was involved with Christians Women’s Club. She walked closely with God and was a source of spiritual wisdom for anyone who knew her. Judy’s faith was also lived out in her caring for her family and others around her. She was always praying and helping those in need. Judy was an avid reader and enjoyed baking for family and friends. She was a past member of Hayward Wesleyan Church and is a current member of Stone Lake Wesleyan Church.

Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, John; three children, Victoria (Matthew) Guse of Augusta, WI, John (Sarah) Boone of Waunakee, WI, Joe (Amber) Boone of Cadott, WI; nine grandchildren, Dylan (Jenna) Guse, Cassandra Guse, Malachi, Caleb, Ellen, Isaac, Elizabeth, Emily, and Abigail Boone; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Minton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, William Minton and Larry Minton.

A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at the Hayward Wesleyan Church. A time of gathering with family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. A private interment will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake.
