In Memory of Judee Rydberg

March 15, 1945 - November 5, 2020

Judee Claire (Morey)Rydberg, age 75, peacefully entered the rest of her Lord and Savior on November 5, 2020 at 3:39 p.m . Surrounded by her loving family, Judee was set free from her long battle with Alzheimer’s. Judee was born on March 13, 1945 in Boscobel, WI, to Howard and Clarice Morey. She met Roger Allan Rydberg, the love of her life, during high school. The two were married on September 12, 1964 and were blessed with 56 wonderful years together, two loving daughters, two son-in-laws, and 4 precious grandchildren.

Judee was a beautiful, dedicated, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She had a strong faith in her Lord Jesus Christ that she lived by every day and passed on to those around her. Family was of highest importance to Judee and she adored her grandchildren. She was committed to making birthdays and holidays special and to creating rich traditions for her family that will live on in the next generations. Judee enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, travel, and time at the lake. Music made Judee happy, whether Christian, Christmas, Kids, or easy listening songs, you could often find Judee dancing, tapping, singing or humming. When fun- loving silliness was called for she was quick to skip down the road or do her Nonny- famous foot shuffles. Judee had a very fond appreciation for collectibles. She was a great listener, compassionate, patient, organized, joy filled, and had a beautiful servant heart.

Judee graduated salutatorian of her high school class where she also participated in band and cheerleading. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College and went on to a long career with Honeywell where she held a variety of positions over the years.

Judee is survived by her husband Roger; her two daughters and their husbands Julee and Scott Prefer, and Jodee and Curtis Schaben both of Hudson, WI; her four grandchildren, Zach (and Michelle) Prefer, Katee Prefer, Sydnee Schaben, and Isaac Schaben; her sisters Connie Richter and Jene Morey, and many nieces and nephews. Allof these she loved and touched deeply. Judee was proceeded in death by father, Howard Morey, mother, Clarice Morey, and sister Caren Olsen.

We are grateful to God for sharing this sweet angel with us and for the many cherished memories of her that will live on in our hearts and lives forever.

Private family services will held at Salem Lutheran Church Sunday, November 8, 2020. A committal service will take place at Shell Lake Cemetery at 11 AM that will be open to family and friends.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland/ Turtle Lake is serving the family.
