Joyce June Hendren, 77, of McKinley, formally of Waverly, IA passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at her home after a Christmas surrounded by family. She was born June 3, 1947, in Waverly, IA to Ivan William and Loretta Marie (Albrecht) Ingersoll.

Joyce grew up on the family farm in Waverly, IA with nine brothers and sisters. Later, she would once again find herself on a farm in McKinley, WI milking cows, raising beef cattle, chickens and pigs.

Joyce was retired from 3M in Cumberland, a member of Cumberland First United Methodist Church and a cherished friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with family, her winters in Moorehaven, FL, gardening on the farm in McKinley, bowling, golfing, volunteering at the church, and seeking out rummage sales. She and Jack also had multiple rental properties in Cumberland that kept her busy in retirement.

She is survived by her life partner, Jack Sterner of McKinley; sons: Stephen Hendren of Waukesha, WI, Rick (Rochelle) Hendren of Woodville, WI, and Matthew (Erin Boland) Hendren of Holmen, WI; grandchildren: Jasmine Szekely, Joshua Hendren, Jessica Hendren, Josannah (Jordan) Heinecke, Jakoda (Tyler Foote) Hendren, Rylie (Jordan) Laster, Ashlee Hendren, Keegan Hendren, Seraphim Boggs and Paige Jensen; step-grandchildren, Casey Ahywood and Ally West; 7 great grandchildren with number 8 on the way; siblings: Ruth Trammell of Denver, IA, Ronald (Marlene) Ingersoll of Denver, IA, Richard (Samoh) Ingersoll of Tucson, AZ, Dennis (Nim) Ingersoll of Waverly, IA, Nylene (Gary) Geerts of Denver, IA, Mary (Don) Beine of Waverly, IA, and Nadine (Paul) James of Gravois Mill, MO; sister-in-law, Bonnie Ingersoll of Altoona, IA. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Loretta Ingersoll; sister, Marlys (Roy) Oxenreider and brother, Dale Ingersoll.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at First United Methodist Church in Cumberland with Pastor Adelbert Freja officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM. Honorary pallbearers are Joyce's grandchildren.
