Joyce M. Anderson, age 81, of Hayward, WI passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital. 

Joyce Marlene was born February 17, 1939 in Isle, MN the daughter of Clinton and Myrtle “Royeltte” (Anderson) Smith.  She moved with her family to San Luis Obispo, CA and she graduated from high school there.  Joyce was married and became a fulltime mother raising her four children.  Joyce started working as a receptionist for St. Paul Manor in San Diego, CA.  She then worked for Casa de las Campanas where she met Martin Vortanz.  On June 19, 1993, Joyce was married to Matrin G. Vortanz in Las Vegas, NV.  Joyce and Martin moved to Hayward, WI in 2006 where she went to work for Wal-Mart.  Joyce enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and feeding the animals at her home.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. 

Joyce is survived by her three children, Debbie Hardesty of San Marcos, CA, Diane Anderson of Hayward, WI, Steve Anderson of San Luis Obispo, CA; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin; son, Don Anderson; and one sister, Sheryl Campbell.

A private family gathering will be held for Joyce.
