Joseph Mark Skopec Age 60, of Rice Lake, WI, died Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 21, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Grace (Segreto) Skopec.

Joe graduated from Streamwood High School in Streamwood, Illinois. He worked for Jewel Food Store and then became a floor installer. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, gardening, bowling, hunting, and sending off rockets.

He is survived by a son, Scott Skopec; a daughter, Katie Skopec (Matt Lupella); mother, Grace Skopec; a brother, Donald Skopec; a sister, Karen (Lenny) Snobl; nephews and nieces, Sam, Cecilia, Deno, Danny and Riley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Skopec.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church.
