Joseph Richard Annis, 69, of Cumberland, WI passed away December 17, 2021, at Cumberland Care and Rehab.

He was born March 31, 1952 in Torrence, CA to Eldon and Margaret (Espinoza) Annis).

As a child, his family moved around the United States finally settling in Arizona where he met Jacquelyn while they were in High School. They moved to Wisconsin in 1974 and he fell in love with the area and stayed to raise their family.

Richard was a jack of all trades and could fix almost anything, although his family remembers him breaking a few things along the way. He did love the Wisconsin outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a Harley rider and he and Jacquelyn enjoyed both long and short rides. He was a people person and loved to spend time with friends. He had a knack for remembering names and no one stayed a stranger for long.

Richard is survived by his wife: Jacquelyn (Ferber) Annis; children: Sean (Sara) Annis, Erin Espeseth, and Bryna Melichar; grandchildren: Taya, Mikala, Maraya, Olivia, Brady, Jordyn, and April; and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Eldon and Margaret Annis; and his sister: Sherry O’Flanagan.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 4-6 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland. A Fiesta de La Vida will be held at a later date.
