John William Fasig, 82, of Martinsville IL, passed away on January 1, 2023 in Rice Lake, WI.

A celebration of life and Masonic Service will be held in Woodstone senior living community theater on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 5:30PM (CST), with Jon Tillung and Reverend Larry Bergstrom officiating. Service will be live streamed on Facebook at - Jon Tillung. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting the family with the arrangements.

John was born in Terra Haute, IN, to Freda and Wiley Fasig on April 22, 1940. He was the first baby in the family to be born in a hospital. He graduated Martinsville Community High School, class of 1958 and from there began his lifelong career with Caterpillar tractor company. He retired from Caterpillar in 1998. John was also a member of the Masons and served as president of many community organizations throughout his life. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gerry Lee Fasig, and Eugene Fasig, son John Allen Fasig, as well as his lifelong friends Don and Diane Hibberd, who were like family to him.

John is survived by his beloved wife Joyce Fasig, daughters Julie Annette Costello (Bart) of Durant, IA, Janice Fasig Millican (Doug) of Coral Springs, FL, and Grandchildren Jeremiah, Kyle and Cameron Costello, Jason Kennedy, Austin Millican, June Fasig, and Jessica Littner, as well as great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lucy, Amelia, Ruth, Kateri, Mary, Tessa, Scarlet, Finley, Nolan and Douglas.
