John Broner Hinthorn Age 70, of Rice Lake, WI died Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Amery Hospital and Clinic in Amery, WI.

He was born on May 25, 1949 in Bloomington, Illinois to Melvin and Virginia (McPherson) Hinthorn. John graduated from High School in Chicago and then attended DeVry University in Naperville, Illinois. He worked at a water plant, he was a TV repair man and then worked for Arizona Power Service for over 30 years. John was married to Linda Stoots Peters on August 29, 1982 in Ottawa, Kansas. He loved playing the acoustic guitar and listening to music.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hinthorn of Rice Lake; 2 daughters and son-in-law, Amy and Edhem Muminovic of Rice Lake and Cristy Peters of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Cody Mathis (Abby Lloyd) and Emma Muminovic. Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Virginia Hinthorn; and 2 sisters, Nancy Fletcher and Barbara Hinthorn. Private family services will be held.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
