In Memory of John A. Skylondz, Jr.

August 24, 1946 - September 2, 2022

John A. Skylondz was promoted to eternal life into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 2nd, 2022.

He lived his life to the fullest with his love for many things including boy scouts and being a leader for many in Troop 205. John served his country in the Army National Guard for six years. He worked for 32 years at Twin Ports Grocery Warehouse. John enjoyed playing his guitar for school dances and later playing in the worship team for Victory Fellowship Church. He also enjoyed restoring cars, woodworking, and all the crafts he made for wall hangings and kids toys. He also liked flying in a Cesna 172 airplane, camping with family and friends, scuba diving under the ice, and sitting around the fire pit joking with family and friends. He biggest passion in life was always for his family. He will be missed by all of us.

John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; sons, John, Joe, Mike, Tom and spouses; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Peggy; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, John and “Sis”; son, Bill and daughter, Tonya Lynn.

A memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at the Hayward Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chad McCallum officiating. Pastor Ryan Wilson will provide music. A time of gathering will be held for family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Military rites will be accorded by the State of Wisconsin Military Funeral Honors Program. John will be buried at Lakeside Cemetery in South Range, WI, at a later date.

A special thank you to Pastor Chad, Lorettta and Ryan for all their love, prayers and support to John’s family. Also, to Regional Hospice nurses for all their help and compassion. It’s deeply appreciated. May God richly bless all of you!
