Joel Wesley Wilson Age 65, of Birchwood, WI, died Friday, June 10, 2022 in Birchwood.

He was born on September 12, 1956 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Rolla and Glenyce (Johnson) Wilson.

Joel attended school in Cedar Falls, WI and was married to Carol Sass on November 28, 1981 in Waterloo, Iowa. He drove semi truck for several years and then started his own business called Joel W. Handyman as a handyman/commercial mower in his community. He was well known to so many for all the many things that he could take care of at their homes and businesses. He loved helping people, fixing things and being available to them at any time. Joel enjoyed nature and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Wilson; 3 children, Connie (Joe) Hill, Glenn (Claire) Wilson and Luke Wilson; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Randy (Carol) Wilson; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Glenyce Wilson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Appleyard’s Home for Funeral in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Tim Warner officiating with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood.

Visitation will be held from 4-6PM Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Hope Gospel in Eau Claire or Samaritan Purse Organization.
