Joee Gohs, 41, of Chetek passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Joee was born on Dec. 4, 1978, to Gary Waterhouse and Caryl Chambers in Chetek, WI.  It was being born and raised here that instilled in her a love of the water, fishing and the outdoors.

Joee went on to study marketing at UW-Eau Claire and launched a career in marketing based on all she learned in school, as well as firsthand knowledge she gained by working for family businesses as a youth.

While Joee had many things she enjoyed in life, nothing brought her more joy or a greater sense of accomplishment than becoming a mother. In March 2012, she and Jarrid Gohs welcomed Hoyt Porter Gohs into the world and her life was forever changed for the better as she loved more deeply than she ever had before. This love was doubled and consumed her entire heart with the blessing of Hendrix Grey Gohs in December 2015. She spent her days and nights loving, cuddling and caring for her two boys, and they adored her beyond words as their loving mother. There was nothing she loved more in this world and they felt that love to the core of their souls. They also will forever cherish the love of the outdoors she worked so lovingly to instill in their little hearts, and the many loving, fun, caring moments they shared with her in life. Joee’s friends and family feel blessed to have known her and will miss her every day.

Joee is celebrated in life by her two children, Hoyt Gohs, Chetek, WI; Hendrix Gohs, Chetek, WI; mother Caryl Chambers, Rice Lake, WI; and many other family, friends and loved ones.

Joee was preceded in death by her father, Gary Waterhouse, and other family and friends.

There are no public services planned.
