In Memory of Joanne Ranallo
Joanne Delores Ranallo, 87, of Cumberland passed peacefully Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her home.
She was born June 18, 1934, in Cumberland, WI to David and Margaret (Shellito) Anderson.
She was married in Cumberland on October 10, 1953, to the love of her life, William "Bill" Ranallo. Over their almost 69 years of marriage they went to many horse shows in Arizona and Kentucky. They also traveled to Italy. Joanne adventured to Madagascar, England, Ireland and Scotland. She had a special interest and love of history.
Joanne worked many years in the medical field helping families file their claims with the various health insurance companies as the Medicare and Medical Assistance Specialist. She was an active member of Sunshine Fitness and Curves, and also a founding member of Cumberland Educational Foundation.
She played the piano/organ for St. Anthony Church for 28 years. Joanne was an avid reader, crocheted afghans, and baked the BEST homemade bread. She made a point to attend as many of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s various school events. Anyone who had the honor of knowing Joanne knew how much she loved her family. Her favorite day of the week was Sunday at 3 PM because that is when the family got together and had coffee.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Ranallo; children: Jerry (Linda) Ranallo, Barbara (Dave) Lynch, Peggy (Curt) Ruschmeyer, Rick (Beth) Ranallo, Bob (Jill) Ranallo and Kathleen (Bob) Effinger; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brothers: Marvin Anderson and Douglas Anderson; sister, Lois Stensland; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other dear family and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, David and Margaret Anderson; brother, Milford Anderson; and sister, Elizabeth Abu-Azzam.
Private family funeral services will be held St. Anthony Catholic Church Parish with Father Tom Thompson officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers are Her loving grandsons: Tavis, Adam, Nathan, William, Barry, and Roman. Honorary pallbearers are Troy, Nick R., Bridget, Anna, Megan, Eric, Tyler, Bob David, Benjamin, Michael, Nick E., Isaac, and Aaron.
