Joanne Marie Daniels, age 90, passed away on April 6, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family at the Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

Joanne was born June 22, 1932, in Milltown, Wisconsin to Alvin and Esther Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Milltown Lutheran Church and was a 1950 graduate from Milltown High School. After graduation she worked briefly at Brown and Bigelow in St. Paul, MN and at Stokley Foods in Milltown. Joanne met Vernon Daniels at the Squirrely Beach Dance Hall and the following year they were married on December 27, 1950. Together they operated their dairy farm in Siren, Wi, until his death in 2002.

Joanne enjoyed keeping in touch with her many friends and relatives through endearing cards and letters, and telephone calls. She loved spending time with her family, always making everyone smile with her sense of humor and warm kindness. In her free time, Joanne also enjoyed reading, watching movies, baking, and creating beautiful hand embroidered items to share with others.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Daniels; son Larel Daniels; parents Alvin and Esther Anderson; brother Bill Anderson and sister Marilyn Knuf.

Joanne is survived by her children, Lee (Julie) Daniels, Lynn (Sam Martinez) Daniels, Laurie (Don) Schmidt, Lucie (Steve) Jenssen and Lesley Daniels; siblings, Gloria Bjorkman, Earl (Mary) Andersen, Ed (Sharon) Anderson and Carol Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.
