In Memory of JoAnne Brown (Furuholmen)
JoAnne Brown, age 68, a resident of Webster, WI., passed away on December 7, 2024, at the Spooner Health Hospital.
JoAnne was born on January 19, 1956, to Clinton and Lila (Basler) Furuholmen.
Growing up in Montana, JoAnne was a bright and beaming child. She was very popular in school and took pleasure in cheerleading during this time. She loved to put on shows for her mother, dancing and wearing extravagant costumes, and flaunted them during horse shows that she attended, as well. Horses were a passion of JoAnne's from a young age, she even participated in barrel racing. JoAnne had a larger-than-life Tarzan yell and used it to wake up the neighborhood bright and early at 5:00 AM for years. She had a deep respect and appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it was sunbathing, fishing, or simply going for a walk in the woods, JoAnne was doing it.
JoAnne was very meticulous and organized in everything she did, especially in maintaining her home. Everything had it's place, and she was constantly making notes, checklists, and keeping reminders, but it was required, as she always had a birthday card for everyone she knew. She was also busy keeping up with friends and loved ones, spending Mondays at The Shop, Tuesdays at Little Mexico, etc. She had collections of swans and more recently, dolphins, but her most cherished collection was her friends and family members. She had so many people who she loved, and they loved her just as much.
JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Lila.
JoAnne is survived by her children, Chris Furuholmen, Brenda Seifert, and Robert Teske; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for JoAnne will take place on January 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at The Shop Bar & Grill in Webster, WI.
