Jim (Patrick James) Morrissette, aged 80, of Luck, WI, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on March 22, 2024. He was born on February 4, 1944, in Minneapolis, MN to parents Joseph Morrissette and Alice (Morrissette) Breyen.

Jim graduated with a vocational degree in Mechanical Drafting which he used in his careers at Unisys and later Durex Products. On October 24, 1969. Jim married Gwen Beseler, and to this union, their children Angela and Peter were born.

An avid traveler who delighted in the simple pleasure of a good drive, Jim also found solace in fishing, and expressed his creativity through woodworking and music. His zest for life and his varied interests were sources of inspiration and joy for his family and friends.

Jim is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gwen Morrissette; his children, Angela (Cal) Brecka and Peter Morrissette; his brothers, Dan (Lorna) Morrissette of Osakis, MN, Joe (LeaAnn) Breyen of Zimmerman, MN; his sisters, Shirley Morrissette of Brooklyn Park, MN, MaryJo Kelly of Brooklyn Center, MN, Bunny (Bill) Hemauer of Champlin, MN; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Keith, and Ethan; great-grandson Damian; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. His memory will be a treasure held in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Morrissette-Breyen and Joe Morrissette; stepfather Joe Breyen; his brother Bob (Jeannine) Morrissette; his sister Joan (Lester) Furney; and brother-in-law Tom Kelly.

A memorial service will be held at North Valley Lutheran Church (1988 220th Ave, Centuria, WI 54824) at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
