In Memory of Jessica M. Lindberg

August 14, 1988 - May 30, 2024

Jessica Mae Lindberg of Siren, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2024, and her family and friends are shocked and overwhelmed by her loss.

Jessica was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, on August 14, 1988. She grew up in Siren, Wisconsin, attending Siren Schools from Kindergarten to graduation and developed friendships that lasted her whole life. She attended college in Superior and Rice Lake, Wisconsin and proudly graduated from Northwoods Technical College. She loved working with people, and she had many different jobs in customer service that allowed her to do just that. Most recently, she worked at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, MN, where she instantly made friends with her colleagues. She also loved music, from playing the saxophone in her high school jazz and pep bands, to jamming on bass with her own punk rock trio, to being an active member of community bands alongside her dad, uncle, and former music teachers.

Jess was kind and empathetic, and she also had a wicked sense of humor. She loved telling stories and shooting the breeze with anyone and everyone. She built friendships with people in every town she lived in and every place she worked, and you could hardly walk into a place within 100 miles without someone shouting, “Hey, Jess!” She was a person who always saw the good in people and was always willing to lend a hand. Even in tough times, she always tried to find joy and happiness and lift others up.

Jess loved her friends and family with her whole heart, and she made sure to tell them often how much she loved them. No one was a greater focus of that love than her son Steven, the biggest joy of her life. Being a mother to Steve was her favorite job, and she did everything she could to ensure that he was happy, healthy, and cared for. Being Steve’s mom was her proudest accomplishment, and she made sure he always knew how much he was loved. She taught Steve strength and compassion by example, and the light and love that she gave to him, and to all of her friends and family, will be her legacy.

Jessica is survived by her grandmother, Beulah Lindberg; parents, Robert and Dawn Lindberg; sister, Sara Lindberg; and cherished son, Steven Lindberg. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Scot Olson (Kathy), David and Sherry Olson, Joe and Tammy Lindberg, and Andy and Alice Lindberg, as well as many cousins. In addition, she leaves behind close friend Mark Klingseisen (Milo and Leia), family friends Jacqui and Sarah Kalin, and countless other friends and colleagues.

Services will be held at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Siren, Wisconsin on Monday, June 10th. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm with a service following at 2:00. A luncheon will follow.

Arrangements entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
