In Memory of Jerry J. Malone


March 8, 1949 - July 25, 2022

Jerry Jay Malone, 74 of Springbrook, WI died Monday, July 25, 2022 at Spooner Health, Spooner, WI.

He was born March 8, 1949 to Wes and Edna (Newman) Malone.

Edna later married Earl Malone where they raised Jerry and his siblings on a farm in Poskin. Surviving siblings are Bill (Bonnie) Malone, John Malone and Molly (Gordy) Landy, Sister in laws Alice Pitzen, Michelle (Mike) Null, Laurie Hansen; Brother in laws Terry (Lillian) Hansen, Mark Hansen. He has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Jerry is a graduate of Barron Senior High School 1966. He served the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War. He worked at Twin Town Cheese Factory, ABC Truss in Chetek, Retired at Truss Works in Hayward. Was owner and operator of Lucky M Dexter’s and farmed his whole life.

He was married in Poskin, WI to Luella Malone in 1983 and raised five children; Tonya (Mike) Vander Wyst, Leona Jo (Rodney) Campbell, Lowell (Stacey) Hansen, Jeremy (Alex Tribble) Reinolt Christopher (Jessica) Newville.

He was a soft spoken man and dedicated to loving his wife and creating memories with his family. He held a special place in his heart for granddaughter Adrianna. He invited many people into his family and they all called him “Pa”. He called many his adopted children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wes Newman, Edna and Earl Malone, Sister Kitty (Malone) Smith and Brother Mike Malone as well as two younger siblings.

He was a man of courage and dignity. He was a man with a quiet walk and a kind heart. He was America’s most honorable citizen. He was a Veteran.

Jerry will have full honors at the Northern WI Memorial Cemetery, N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI. He will be remembered by many and Loved by All!
