In Memory of Jerry D. Rogers
Jerry Rogers, born June 14, 1961, of Barron, was called home on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
There to meet him were his father, Jim Rogers; and great-nephew, Quinten Brunette.
Left to carry on his legacy of relentless joy are his wife, Tanya Rogers (Harelstad); his three children, Chloe (Matthew) Tebo, Kenzie (Matt) DiGennaro, and Wyatt Rogers; stepsons, Dawson and Carter Stroik; mother, Agnes Rogers; sisters, Jill (Blaine) Brunette, Julie (Phil) Winegar; his in-laws, Art and Kathleen Harelstad; brother-in-law, Todd Harelstad, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his first grandchild expected later this year.
Jerry graduated from Rice Lake High School class of 1979. He went on to study machining and tool making at what was formerly WITC, graduating in 1981. He had three beautiful children who were his world with Nichola. He fostered a home built on love and laughter.
On January 1st, 2021, Jerry married the love of his life, Tanya and they spent 14 blissful years together with his step-sons, further cultivating the love of all things motorized and outdoors. After working for the City of Barron for 23 years, Jerry retired to spend more time with his family and on his lifelong passions.
Jerry will be remembered for his love of riding motorcycles, working in the garage, restoring guns, drawing, and lending a hand to all those in need. Memories of his kindness, warmth, generosity, and overall good nature but, most notoriously, his contagious smile and laughter will always be cherished by all those he touched in this life.
Please join us for a celebration of life that will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 12th at noon at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church in Rice Lake. A visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A lunch will follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
