Jean Leona Hauser, 88, of Almena passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

She was born March 11, 1935 in St Paul, MN to Edwin Arthur and Laurina Augusta (Yeske) Colburn.

She was married in Comstock, WI on November 2, 1953 to Alfred Gottlieb Hauser, who preceded her in death on July 30, 2021.

Jean loved gardening, baking, cooking, canning and crafting. She spent many hours baling hay with Alfred, and could always be found helping at church, wherever it was needed. Her faith was incredibly important to her through prayer and reading the word of God daily.

She is survived by children, Sharon (Tom) Olson of Farmington, MN, Steve (Debbie) Hauser of Barron, Mary Strenke of Almena, Debbie (Mike) Houser of Sarona, Janice Degerman of Almena, David (Amy) Hauser of Hudson and daughter-in-law, Melissa Hauser; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; son, Mark; grandson, Michael; sisters, Doris and Gertie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday June 19, 2023 at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Olson officiating. Visitation one hour prior at church. Luncheon to follow. Interment Ebenezer Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Stephen Hauser, Matthew Degerman, Joe Seeman, Matt Offerdahl, Nick Fisk and Shawn Chaplin.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
