In Memory of Janice M. Clark


October 3, 1936 - June 12, 2022

Janice Mae Clark, 85, of McKinley died Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home.

She was born October 3, 1936 in Shell Lake, WI to Oscar and Mae (Hustad) Risberg.

She attended Cumberland Schools and graduated in 1955. She was married at Trinity Lutheran Church in McKinley on October 22, 1955 to Raymond Clark. They started their family and she managed the home and cared for their children. Over the years, Jan had many jobs, including CNA, cashiering, and selling real estate. In her spare time, Jan loved to entertain and prepare meals for family and friends. She enjoyed time spent fishing, bowling, softball, volleyball, traveling, quilting, and crocheting. She created well over 1,000 baby hats for hospitals in Wisconsin and Texas (where they wintered for 28 years).

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Clark of McKinley; their daughters, Rae Ann Clark of Cumberland, Susan (Wayne) Eskildsen of Forest Lake, MN, Peggy Lynn Schneider of Coon Rapids, MN; grandchildren: Joe (Jessica) Clark of Rice Lake, Ashley (Larry) Thoma of Lino Lakes, MN, Deann (Chris) Kazungu of Bloomington, MN, Lisa (Michael) Goff of Sidell, LA, April (Ben) Heimerl of Plymouth, MN and Steven Eskildsen of Salt Lake City, UT, Kristine Schneider of Minneapolis, MN, Matt Schneider of Coon Rapids, MN; great-grandchildren: Alex, Tyler, Eli, Shanna, Allison, Aiden, Nadia, Abigail, Vinny, Carson, Braden, Ryan, Hope, Hannah, Xavier, and Ethan; great great granddaughters, Naiomi and Kate; 2 sisters: Beverly Peirson of New Richmond, WI, and Sandra (Byron) Wickman of Siren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Theodore Wilen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 20, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church - McKinley with Pastor Diane House officiating and burial to follow at McKinley Cemetery. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
