February 18, 1935 - September 21, 2018

Janice M. Featherly, aged 83, of Minong, WI. passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 21, 2018. Janice was born in Drummond, WI. on February 18, 1935. She was the second of four children born to Ole and Vivian Jorgenson.

Janice married Philip N. Featherly of Minong in September of 1951. Together they raised seven children and gave shelter to numerous friends and family members. When Philip passed in 1985, Janice continued to be a source of strength and the sense of familial of home to her children, her 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

She will be remembered differently by each person whose life she touched. She enjoyed Packer games, Cubs baseball, and reading. She managed the Travelers Inn in Minong for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Philip, her sister Jacquelyn Andren, her Mother Vivian Helden, Stepfather Falke Helden, Father Ole Jorgenson, and grandson Brian Miller.

She is survived by her children, Christine (Arvis Holland) of Minong, Philip Featherly of Minong, Douglas (Tammy) of Bessemer, MI., Cecelia (Jim) Jayme of St. Croix Falls, WI., Kurtis (Linda) Featherly of Minong, Kevin (Tammy) Featherly of Bloomington, MN., and, son and caregiver, Bruce Featherly with who she lived, Minong, WI., sister Kathryn Fredricks of Drummond WI., and brother, Rendy Jorgenson of Fitchburg, Mass., and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Service Friday September 28th 2018 with visitation at 3 p.m. to 3:30 and service from 3:30 to 4:00 at The River Church, located at N13205, Rice Lake Road, Minong, WI. Fellowship to follow at the Town of Minong Hall at W7095 Nancy Lake Road in Minong.
