Janet Louise Postle Age 82, of Rice Lake, WI died Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic Health System Northland in Barron, WI.

She was born on October 24, 1936 in Minnesota to Victor and Bertha (Stoeckel) Johnson. Janet attended school In Weyerhaeuser and was married to Eldon Asmussen on December 1955 and then was married to Claude “Bumps” Postle in 1975. She worked as a cabin cleaner and bartender at Corners Bar and a dishwasher at Russ’s Pancake House and Maxine’s Restaurant in Rice Lake. She loved picking on people, playing cards, going fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, being outdoors and she also was on the Thursday Afternoon Bowling League.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Asmussen (Dennis King) of Barron, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eldon Asmussen and Claude “Bumps” Postle; and 2 sisters, Lorraine Olszewski and Marion Bartels.

Funeral Service will be held held at 6PM Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service on Wednesday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
