In Memory of Jan Williamson

April 15, 1952 - December 11, 2020

Jan Faye Williamson, 68, of Shell Lake, WI died, Friday, December 11, 2020 at Indianhead Medical Center. She was born April 15, 1952, in Mount Pleasant, MI to Fred and Barbara (Bates) Mininger. She attended school in Barron, WI and went on to attend Nursing School at Glendale Community College in Arizona.

While living in Arizona she met Fred Williamson. They were married October 1, 1983 and shortly after welcomed their only child, Patrick Charles. The three of them moved back to Wisconsin to be near family and she thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with siblings, cousins, and friends.

Jan loved with her whole heart. This was evident in whatever she did. Jan loved being a nurse and when she had to retire early she decided to volunteer in the Cumberland schools. While her eyesight allowed she sewed, crafted, and was always up for a lunch date with friends or family. Jan made friends wherever she was. Her fun sense of humor and compassion made her someone that people just wanted to spend time with. Family meant everything to Jan. After almost 2 years of great care at SLHCC Jan was able to come home for her last few months to be with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Williamson; her son, Patrick (Amanda) Williamson and her grandchildren, Owen, Oliver, and Nora Williamson; her mother, Barbara Mininger and siblings: Jeffrey (Lorie) Mininger, Michael (Lavonne) Mininger, Douglas (Janie) Mininger, and brother-in-law, Michael Hagelberger; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Mininger, and her sister, Kimberly Hagelberger.

A Celebration of Life will be held this Spring.
