James “Jimmer” Roger Cooper Age 69, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, May 13, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Iray and Mary Cooper.

He entered the United States Marines and was later Honorably Discharged. Jimmer was a truck driver for over 40 years. He was married to Debra “Debbie” Stensrud on November 24, 1981 in Chicago. He enjoyed trucking, listening to country music, drinking a cold beer, eating chicken wings and going fishing.

He is survived by his 3 children, Becky Cooper, Jamie Cairo and Jimmy Cooper; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, John Cooper; half brother, Billy Hemmer; half sister, Vicky Cooper; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Cooper; 2 half brothers, Floyd Cooper and Rusty Hemmer and his parents, Iray and Mary Cooper.

Private family services will be held.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting the family with the arrangements.
